AG/CAD Designer (Packaging) – West Bromwich - £32,000 to £35,000

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as a AG/CAD Designer on a full-time permanent basis

Job Role:

• Designing bespoke corrugated packaging solutions using AG/CAD software

• Producing accurate drawings and specifications based on customer requirements

• Developing innovative packaging concepts tailored to individual customer needs

• Liaising directly with customers to gather design briefs and provide technical advice

• Creating prototypes and refining designs where required

• Ensuring designs are commercially viable, functional and manufacturable

• Working closely with internal departments to support production requirements

• Managing multiple projects while maintaining excellent attention to detail

  
  

Skills and experience:

• Previous experience using AG/CAD software within the packaging industry

• Experience in the manufacturing industry would be considered

• Experience designing corrugated or bespoke packaging solutions

• Strong understanding of packaging design and manufacturing processes

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to interpret customer briefs and translate them into practical designs

• Confident communicating with customers and providing design recommendations

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Able to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
