Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as an Events and Marketing Assistant on a 12 Month FTC

You’ll be a highly organised, creative and proactive individual who enjoys variety and being involved in everything from event planning through to digital marketing. You’ll have a strong eye for detail and be confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines without letting standards slip. Naturally personable and a strong communicator, you’ll enjoy working with different people, coordinating the finer details and being hands-on when it comes to bringing events together. You’ll be someone who uses their initiative, stays calm when plans change and is always keen to learn, develop and get involved wherever needed.
Reward
20 days holiday rising to 25 after 2 years service
Monday to Friday- 9.30am – 5.30 pm plus overtime for events

Job Role:
Supporting the planning and delivery of a wide range of events
Coordinating event logistics including venues, suppliers, accommodation, delegates, speakers, materials and couriers
Preparing event materials including presentations, delegate packs, badges and registration documentation
Supporting events on the day, including venue set-up, registration, hosting and post-event activities
Collating event feedback, reporting on results and supporting event debriefs
Creating and scheduling social media and email marketing campaigns while supporting website content
Uploading and promoting articles across digital channels while ensuring consistent branding across marketing materials
Maintaining CRM records, responding to internal and external enquiries and supporting general marketing administration
Skills and experience:
Possessing some previous experience within events and marketing
Demonstrating excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Having excellent attention to detail with a confident and accurate approach to administration
Using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint confidently alongside social media platforms
Demonstrating strong communication skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Using initiative to troubleshoot problems and adapt when priorities change
Showing a willingness to learn new skills and develop within events and marketing
