Quality Engineer - Tamworth - £25,000 to £33,000

Job Role

  • Coordinating and improving onsite goods inward inspection activities

  • Monitoring and controlling ship-to-stock practices

  • Conducting product audits and raising corrective actions when necessary

  • Monitoring and analysing the performance of suppliers and their quality processes

  • Conducting First Article Inspections for new and incoming product lines

  • Providing product-related reports and responses to internal/external customers

  • Supporting new product launches to ensure that supplier quality matters are determined and implemented

  • Attending/conducting meetings as required


Skills and experience

  • Experience within a similar role, dealing with suppliers/customers

  • Working experience with creating ISIR and FAIR inspections, as well as using quality tools such as 8D, 5WHY, FISHBONE diagrams

  • Strong ability to interpret drawings and technical documents

  • Strong knowledge of metrology, inspection methods and equipment

  • Understanding of BS/EN standards within the electrical industry

  • Understanding of both domestic and commercial electrical installations
