Customer Service Advisor – £23,000 to £24,000 - Tamworth

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, dynamic organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business as Customer Service Advisor on a full-time permanent basis.

 

Summary

You will be providing excellent service and supporting the day-to-day running of the department.

 

Duties & Responsibilities   

  • Dealing with all enquiries from customers and the external sales team

  • Dealing with and responding to all email enquiries

  • Processing internet and email orders using Sage and our in-house systems

  • Filing all paperwork onto the archive system

  • Processing sample requests and internal picks

  • Preparing and sending quotes

  • Liaising with other departments to arrange rework of bespoke stock

  • Setting up customers for online ordering

  • Overseeing forward orders, call-offs and projects for customers

  • Monitoring customer’s orders and deliveries, overseeing service levels, building rapport, making courtesy calls and resolving any issues for key accounts

  • Answering Switchboard overflow

 

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a similar, customer-facing role

  • Excellent customer service skills, offering the best personal service at all times

  • Be personable and approachable

  • Ability to deal with difficult customers always remaining calm and professional

  • Have the initiative to find a resolution to any problems that may arise

  • Ability to work as well in a team and individually

  • Be accurate and efficient at all times 

  • Basic knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel and Sage
