Credit Controller - £26,000 – Coleshill

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, dynamic organisation based in Coleshill. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business as a Credit Controller on a full-time permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recording and managing customer debts, communications, and outcomes

  • Following the process to escalate overdue debts for collection

  • Conducting credit checks on new and existing customers

  • Reviewing and adjusting credit limits as needed

  • Preparing month-end closure, including balance sheet reconciliations and resolving issues

  • Reconciling bank and PayPal accounts

  • Analysing profit and loss, and balance sheet accounts

  • Assisting internal stakeholders with payment queries

  • Issuing monthly customer statements

  • Posting daily cash receipts and resolving any payment issues

  • Supporting other finance department tasks as needed

  • Assisting with preparation for year-end audits


Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Competent with the use of Office 365

  • Excellent numeracy skills
